An excellent summary of a stellar man

For many years I have studied the commentaries of Adam Clark and have known little of the man. I have appreciated and admired his work immensely. This little biography causes me even greater admiration and gives me a better understanding of the man behind the writing who was even more excellent than I imagined.

This is a good short overview. Dr. Clarke’s own autobiography is far superior. “An Account of the Religious and Literary Life of Adam Clarke””,” written in the third person.
