The truth can have deadly consequences...

On a sunny morning, when the Mediterranean is dead calm, Captain Paul Thomas embarks on a dive to the wreck of the Zenobia, off the coast of Larnaca, Cyprus. Within hours, he has taken his final, gasping breath in an accident below the surface. A new Royal Military Police liaison is required to pick up on his work, and Major Helen Scott gets the assignment.

It turns out Paul Thomas had rattled cages during his current case - four serving soldiers are in custody accused of the leaking of state intelligence. If proven, the scandal would rock the foundation of the armed forces. Once on Cyprus, it becomes clear that the island relies on a delicate balance of old-school glad-handing and turning a blind eye, and anyone who threatens to upset the equilibrium will find themselves in the line of fire...

An action-packed crime thriller from million copy bestseller Rachel Lynch, perfect for fans of Angela Marsons and Lee Child.

Exciting story filled with great detail

I did enjoy this story and the first book in this new series. However being military based there were a lot of characters with rather intricate plot lines. This resulted in me getting slightly distracted and not properly following the story at times. Despite this, I kept going and ultimately enjoyed the book. But due to that military focus, I probably wouldn't resume the series.

Quality story - very military based

I've been a military spouse for 22 yrs and enjoyed this book because it wasn't just about what the guys go through it also involved what the spouses go through as well. some people don't think about what a hard job it is being a military spouse, putting on that fake smile, raising the kids, keeping house, and trying to hold it together so the kids won't worry. This was a wonderful book, and I look forward to reading the next. Big fan of your work!

loved it!!!
