Want to know a secret?

It's about that girl over there. Don’t look, but she’s the one in the power suit with the long, black hair and the serious expression. The one I’m about to go on a date with.

Yeah, according to her, she “accidentally” donated an obscene amount of money to my charity - The Lineup - to win said date, but I found out the truth.

Miss. Button-Up-Blouse has a secret. A passionate crush on me. I didn’t know her name until two days ago, despite the friends we have in common. Was I oblivious? Probably. Was I blind to it? Definitely.

But I’m no fool. I see it now. The high-heeled harlot wants more than just a date with Jason Orson. She wants to be able to claim the best butt in baseball as hers.

Here's another secret: She has no idea I know.

I LOVE JASON AND DOTTIE!!

This book was tremendous. Not only was the love story endearing and wonderful but the book was also filled with laughs and tears. I teared up with both characters and laughed with them many times throughout.

Jason is a top tier book boyfriend. Omg I love him. He was so charming and funny. He’s gorgeous but sensitive and kind. The whole package.

Dottie is so relatable. Closed off from previous heartbreak and desperately trying to prove herself in the business world, she finds it really hard to open herself up to a relationship with Jason. This book is her journey to allowing herself the love she deserves and finding where she belongs career wise.

Absolutely adored both characters and their relationship. No notes!

This. This right here. OMG I have never come across an audiobook that has had me so in love with laughter, with the story, with the moments of sheer hilarity and sweetness. Gosh, I have listened to one of these ‘stand-alone series’ (though not listed as such so I started a little deeper in) I was NOT prepared for how much I loved this. I knew I was going to love Jason and Dottie’s story but I had friends and family listening about the wildlife encounter and they were cracking up too. Maxine is always a great listen but my God Stephen Dexter totally killed this narration! If I could give this 10 stars ⭐️ I totally would right this very second!!! Audible has really been lacking for me since the dissolution of AE but I am going to have to do extra credits to get all of these character stories. 😖 But, on to the next!

I am SOOO very happy to be writing this review. I have loved and hated a lot of audiobooks, but this was the first one that I actually found myself laughing out loud. All throughout the book, I kept saying out loud how much I love Jason.

The narrators were both truly excellent. I have to commend Stephen Dexter in particular, because I could imagine how much he must have enjoyed voicing Jason from his performance. Duet narration will always be preferable to me when it comes to audiobooks, but there are some books that could have benefitted from it the most. This was one of them. There were some lines of dialogue that I wished the characters were voiced by their actual narrators. But nonetheless, this was a great listen overall. This book made me so happy and joyful. Jason and Dottie were both great, complex characters. Jason was clearly the easier to love and sympathize with, but to me Dottie served as the more relatable character. She was pragmatic and clear-headed, and I especially loved witnessing the stages of denial, lust, and falling in love with Jason from her perspective.

I super duper love this one. Thank you for this. ❤️❤️❤️
