Six days after giving birth, a polar bear named Aurora got up and walked away from her den at the Columbus Zoo, leaving her tiny squealing cub to fend for herself. As sea ice diminishes and temperatures creep up year after year, Agnaboogok and the polar bears—and everyone and everything else living in the far north—are being forced to adapt. Not all of them will succeed.

Reads like a textbook, but still tells a truth

Another voice in the telling of our failure to protect our earth, with additional heros and prophets, told in plain language designed to relate, but fails to inspire.

Heartwarming and heartbreaking

Story of survival and the ignorance of man. God said take dominion of the earth and be have screwed it up. My only hope is that the animals will survive our ignorance and shame.

Unnecessary political aspects but good overall

Many important truths and facts were told in this book, behind a great story of Nora the Polar Bear who faced many challenges. The book to my surprise covered much more than polar bears like the natives in Alaska and numerous researchers and scientists. I definitely enjoyed the book and learning more about polar bears but the book began to dive into party politics, race, and hints of social justice issues which I felt was not needed and was not relevant. My only other issue with the book was the weak ending which left more of a fear of the future rather than a happy ending.

Bate and switch

What a book titled the loneliest polar bear I would expect to have gain and emotional connection with the polar bear bythe box end. That’s not what happened here. This was just an opportunity for the author to get on their soapbox box and lecture me about climate change

In many places they made claims that are unsupportable by factual evidence such as polar bears cover their nose blend in more closely with their environment , which is pure bullshit.
