Edgar Williams was in his late twenties and decided he had been single long enough. He drove to the mail order bride auction in Laramie, Wyoming and was hoping he would be able to find the perfect bride! When he glanced at Opal Church, he knew in his heart that she was the girl of his dreams! She seemed perfect in every way with her beautiful long medium blonde hair, sapphire blue eyes, and a gorgeous smile. When the bidding began, he wondered why he and a couple of the other men were the only ones bidding. Did they know something he didn't? Regardless, he kept bidding...and the auctioneer soon announced that he was the lucky winner of Opal Church.

They were soon married, and he thought she was the prettiest thing he had ever seen in her wedding dress. On the drive home to his farm, he soon learned the real reason why no one was bidding on her. In spite of her beauty, she had a temper that was as equally fierce! Edgar wasn't one for going back on his commitments and made up his mind that he would make the best of things!
