There are things that women want and things that women need. I know deep down, with every fiber in my body, that I need Mr. Ward.

He started out as my landscape designer but became so much more. Now, my life is on the line while living with the devil himself. I have been torn down and broken, and I don’t think I can take anymore.

The man I need was never the one I married. No, the man I need is the one I was never supposed to have. He’s the one who showed me gentleness, kindness, and true love.

Ward would put up a fight for me at any cost. I know for a fact I could be so much happier with him. But when I come face-to-face with reality, I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to risk it all for someone I’ve just met, even if it seems like Mr. Ward and I are a match made in heaven.

🤬!!! Why was Kyle and his mama crazy??? I didn’t think I was gonna like this book, but I did. The first book started off kinda dry but by the end I was like omg! Then I couldn’t stop listening. I hate to listen when a woman has a bunch of trauma, but dang!!! Marcel was bay for real. Even though they met
though they met under some crazy circumstances. Gabby had good friends and neighbors too.

Crazy

Ok so let me start off my saying I don’t rally critique books. I like it or I don’t. But I have a lot of issues with the narrators.
When doing character voices they were so all over the place. The H had that simple southern accent which is correct. But then the h doing the Hs voice made him sound like he was from New Orleans. Also each one had a different way of doing the h’s husband as well. That was super annoying. I hated how the h did her father’s voice. The female narrator also had many moments where she sounded like a news anchor when reading.

Good story , but lots of critiques

This story went left for me when Gabby forgave her father. WTF? No Shanora! Daddy was a bad man and did not deserve forgiveness.

No Daddy

This book is a journey of healing from abuse, betrayal and guilt. I appreciate how the author navigates the characters through their trauma, both helping the other rebuild their self-worth and enjoy the love that is presented to them. The subject matter can be difficult for some readers/listeners so proceed with caution.
