When I was a little girl, I was saved by an ancient old man who taught me to love God, to revere his word, but to know the difference between the words of men and the words of God. I became a Jehovah's Witness when I was a young girl, and remained a faithful member of the religion for almost thirty years. As a former victim of domestic violence, I took refuge in the comforts of the Jehovah's Witness religion, until I grew beyond it limitations and perimeters.

Religiously based theme set against the backdrop of personal growth and awareness during the course of a struggle for survival. Philosophically presented through the lens of Sara Niles throughout a lifespan of religious experience.
