escape with this cast of characters to the old west

Clay's writing brings a welcome level of depth to the characters in this Western: their daily lives, work, and relationships, and the world they live in-- from bathing and hygiene habits, to when it is or is not okay to shoot something or someone.

Humor is encountered in unexpected places, from a man's relationship to his horse (if Molly were a car today, we would say that old car had a lot of character) to the most clever profanity used to curse the blazing sun.

full of adventure and surprises, it was an enjoyable escape to join these characters and get lost in this book.

Great western

Great narration and a fun story.. very well written! Excellent character building. I'm looking forward to Clay Shiver's next book.

Great story. Really pull us into the book. Loved Clays fun with the story. Highly recommended listening the performance was amazing
