Marshal Seth Walker wants a bride. A woman like his mother – calm, obedient, respectful. Then he meets the spirited Ava Wayne. Ava is a feisty, strong-willed young woman. She can shoot a gun. She can ride a horse. She can take care of herself. She’s not exactly what he was looking for, she is so much more and the attraction is instant.

The flame burns hot between these two, but they will need to find middle ground. Before they feed the fire or extinguish it, they have questions to answer and mysteries to solve. Who killed Amos Simms? Why is that little gal working upstairs at the Silver Slipper Saloon? Will Ava embrace Marshal Walker's love, protection, and discipline?

This is book six in the Journey’s End series and can be enjoyed independently.

Publisher’s Note: This historical western contains elements of danger, adventure, mystery, suspense, sensual scenes and power exchange.

This is similar to others in the series with a sneak peek at John and Marcie from another series. The marshall is in charge of a small town which he and everyone else thinks he does a good fair job. My issue with this is that a 14 year old girl was working (unwilling) in a brothel for over a year essentially being r@ped daily. He knows she's young and likely not an adult but does nothing to help until the young girl kills someone. Sorry but that doesn't seem like a good marshall to me. I only took off one star as it's not the main story or character. If she was it would have been just 1 star.
