if you'd like the previous books in the Barsoom series you will enjoy this one as well.
well not written from the perspective of John Carter, the narrator of this tale has a similar outlook on life, and the same sense of honor. were this to happen very early in the series, it could easily have been John Carter doing it. at this stage a new name was given and needed due to the knowledge that had already been gained of the world structure. still a lot of fun. recommended.
