Preached at the Zoar Chapel in London on August 9, 1846, Philpot reflected on the exchange and communication between God and man. The only true exchange, he states, can come from a recognition of our sinful ways. In doing so, we can receive God’s teachings, bear its fruits, and keep our word in constant devotion.

This is my first time hearing of this author, let alone his work. I truly enjoyed this brief Outlook on the grace and mercy of God. He points out how the soul is in desperate need of the richness that God provides. Aside from the derogatory marks at the end, this was quite enjoyable.

Both Refreshing and Humbling
