The Master's Compass

Decades after the modern world came crashing down into ruins a tiny community lives in complete isolation aboard a beached cruise ship they call the Anvil. Governed by the Master, they go about their day to day lives happily enough, content with ignoring the outside world and being ignored in return. Until the Master falls desperately ill. As if emerging from a fog the People begin to question their own lack of history, the strange composition of their community, and to wonder as to the nature of the outside world. Left to their own devices they struggle to make sense of their situation, to govern themselves, and to seek answers. Led by Romero, a small group of the People decide to challenge the unknown and to explore the world outside the Anvil in the hopes that by discovering the past they might better secure their future. Hesitantly at first, they begin to explore, only to find a world drastically changed from the pre-Fall books they had read aboard the Anvil. Plunged into a post-apocalyptic world filled with conflict and violence, Romero and his Crew struggle to survive and to uncover the truths the Master had withheld.
