The Removers: The third installment in the legendary Matt Helm thrillers. A year after having been reactivated as a spy, Matt Helm receives a message from his ex-wife asking for his aid. The threat is an enemy agent named Martel, disguised as a mob hit man. To protect his family, Helm must remove the threat before his own children pay the ultimate price.

Gritty

Nothing like the Dean Martin movies. Just good cold war drama. Narrator is excellent! Fast paced.

Matt is low-key, but don't cross him

My brother read these when he was in High School and I thought they were pretty cool. I read part of The Wrecking Crew and it was nothing like the Dean Martin movie. That was odd I thought. Now I have finished the first three and I think I will continue on with the series. They're actually good!

I read these books as I teen, my dad had them on his shelf.

performance production value... I can hear narrator breaths in. too distracting to finish. sad. I was concentrating on if I was going to hear the breath in or not!
