The outstanding new novel from the #1 New York Times–bestselling grand master of adventure.

Husband-and-wife team Sam and Remi Fargo are in Mexico, when they come upon a remarkable discovery—the skeleton of a man clutching an ancient sealed pot, and within the pot, a Mayan book, larger than anyone has ever seen. The book contains astonishing information about the Mayans, about their cities, and about mankind itself. The secrets are so powerful that some people would do anything to possess them—as the Fargos are about to find out.

Before their adventure is done, many men and women will die for that book—and Sam and Remi may just be among them.

A great adventure and very plausible. A Mayan discovery like this will probably happen in real life. Great story, action, and reading. Jumps in right where we left the Fargo's in book 4 and doesn't need a lot of back story, even if you haven't read the other books

Any additional comments?

Didn't seem up to Clives usual story line. The other Fargo books, (and his other series), all held me in suspense to the point that I could not wait to get back to them, but this one was lacking that excitement or anticipation.

The Fargos

at first the story was a little slow and getting the Mayan codex and the crazy lady who in the end got her justice and so did the other two criminals enjoyed listening to the story

I love the Fargo series. It is very easy reading and doesn't get to deep, but it is educational and fun. You have to get past the fact that they are the perfect couple and have skills beyond what they reasonably should have, but they keep it close enough to not go overboard. Nothing to change your life but definitely a fun read.

Love the Fargo's

Another author said it best when he referred to reading a Cussler saga as a visit with an old friend. This one is no exception, and Scott Brick's realization puts me in the story. My walks fly by with this iny ears and head. Can't wait for the next Fargo series book.

Another great swashbuckler story excellently performed.
