An arrow whistles through the trees as a band of outlaws ride boldly against the Sheriff of Nottingham's men. They seek to overturn injustice, to rob from the rich and give to the poor. They ride, from their hideaway in Sherwood Forest, on to great adventure against tyranny in Old England. They are Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and, of course, the greatest archer of them all, Robin Hood.©2001 Monterey Media Inc. Classics Literature & Fiction

I have always been a fan of Robin Hood, but had never read the original book based on the stories. This is a dramatized work based on some of those tales. It differs in several ways, most notably the lack of Maid Marian. The cast is wonderful and the tales are enjoyable, but not as Merry as the title. The ending is somewhat depressing. This work is based on the original Howard Pyle book and does not cover many of the newer additions. Still enjoyable.

Not So Merry Adventures of Robin Hood

The audio quality was not the greatest but it was a fun way of presenting common stories about Robin Hood without listening to a narrator drone on for 15 hours.

Worth it.
