The characters in the story are very compassionate. They start out as strangers and end up the best of friends helping each other out.

It was very well written and the characters were so real. Loved the underlying strength and ethics of them all.

I love these books. The characters, their burdens and hope. The beauty detailed in story. And the narrators. Emma Davies is a wonderful author.
