For Jim Currie, a weekend getaway, extended vacation, or business trip can be more than diversion or duty. In The Mindful Traveler, he helps the listener structure journal writing - and the journey - around eight Buddhist archetypes that offer specific skills for problem solving and spiritual progress. Topics include everything from organizing the journal to choosing the appropriate "spiritual touchstones" for the trip.

My partner highly recommended this book and was curious to re-read it, so I decided to give the audible version a try to fit in while we were in the middle of a road trip.

After two chapters we couldn't handle listening to this narrator any more. Incredibly monotone. No pauses between sentences, and very oddly timed spaces in the middle of phrases.

I'm sure the content of the book is incredible, but neither of us were able to bear listening to it with this particular narration/presentation. I'll be either reading this book via Kindle or trying the Blinkist version of it exists.
