I got the opportunity to listen to another audiobook from one of my favorite authors.
Addie being alone now goes in search of her father. The first person to see her alone in the town is Lorne. It’s not a safe place so he tries to help her but he doesn’t have good news.
There were many nice people there but there were bad people too.
And…someone was wanting her gold mine, so things began to happen.
I enjoyed the romance between Addie and Lorne and the way he tried to protect her.
Put the suspense of finding out who was wanting her out of the way and it became very interesting.
When I got started listening I didn’t want to stop. The narration just brought it to life even more.
If you love a Suspenseful Historical Romance try this author. I have loved them all.
I received a copy of this audiobook from the author but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Wow! I've never read a book where one of the characters was so frequently put in danger! But, I'm glad it brought the two of them closer together, instead of pulling them farther apart!
I'm happy to finally find a couple willing to trust God for their safety! I love that she reminded him of the importance of his relationship with Jesus, and his faith grew! He definitely needed it!
I loved the narrator!

Gold mining. It's my husband's favorite thing to watch on television, so when I started this, I was thrilled to listen! Addie has come to town to see her father to find out he had recently been killed presumably because of his claim. Now alone in a strange town, she needs to find a new plan. Lorne becomes her friend and pretty much her protector, finding his role is turning into more than that for him. When danger comes to Deadwood, specifically targeting Addie, Lorne is there for her. But will she want to become his wife? This is a fantastic story of the old west, bringing out the history of prospecting and the danger that goes along with it. It's got a thread of suspense giving that whodunnit feel along with a great romance. Loved it!

LB Neibaur tells this wonderful story with perfectly chosen voices. With the variety of characters that she has bring alive, she finds the best sound and makes the story like a movie in my mind. This is a great listen.
