Razor-sharp wit inflames a competitive game of survival in the salons of 17th century France where, in this world of "finest appearances," one man's blunt honesty shatters his society's delicate web of manners. Often considered to be Moliere's Hamlet, this is a wickedly scathing satire.Public Domain (P)1996 L.A. Theatre Works Comedy Witty Drama Ancient, Classical & Medieval Literature

I can’t speak to the translation’s accuracy, but it poignantly conveys Moliere’s caustic views of faith, culture, and human nature. The performance is also engaging; never dull nor contrived.

Brilliant satire all too relevant for our time

The performance was really great! I wish characters would have been introduced, you have to piece together who is who but overall it was a great listen.

Really enjoyable!
