These eerie tales are perfect for stormy winter darkness
Mosse's love of history and of ghosts and legends mix in her new collection of short stories ... Mosse creates beautiful scenarios
Kate Mosse is also a master of the short form ... Her ability to blur the lines between eras is so fluid its testament to her writing ... the ancient and modern ghostly tales of Mosse's anthology left us fearful, but fulfilled
Perfect for reading while snuggled up against the winter weather
This collection is captivating ... once again fans of Mosse are in for a treat
With Halloween and ghostly stuff creeping up on us once more, it's the perfect time to dip into this captivating collection of short stories and illustrations, inspired by classic British and French folk tales. Lovely stuff.
An atmospheric collection of short stories from one of Britain's most captivating writers
Where does The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Very highly and I will definitely listen again.Who was your favorite character and why?
Maybe the Mistletoe Bride, but really my favourite was the Kate Mosse herself. I was extremely interested in listening to the author's notes.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I wouldn't say an extreme reaction but most of the stories evoked emotions within me.Any additional comments?
I loved the author's belief in the importance of history as told through the lives of everyday people, rather than solely political or royal figures.Thought Provoking
