A successful Hollywood producer returns home to New Jersey after a couple of divorces and the subsequent burn-out that attends a high-voltage career. Her overly controlling parents think she's back to piece her life back together under their tutelage, but they discover an angry, impatient woman who can't stand to be with them or their neighbor. She's got other plans than showing off her recent TV film and listening to her parents' direction about how to live her life. Her agenda includes an escape across the Atlantic on a 60-foot sloop with her brother, a hot young actress and the man she just can't forget. She finds that fixing your life by going backwards is more complicated than it seems.
