“The time has come, I think, not to lie any more.”

This beautiful recording features solo performances by various classical musicians.

When cub reporter Lesley is sent to Venice to interview a world-renowned violinist, the journalist is told she can ask Paolo Levi anything about his life and career as a musician, but on no account must she ask him the Mozart question; never the Mozart question.

Paolo, however, has realised he must finally reveal the truth.

I picked this audio story not realizing what I had gotten. When I discovered that it was a short story i had paid for, I was disappointed, but I figured I had paid for it so I’d give it a try. What a delightful listen. Well worth a second or third listen. The story of a young novice reporter who happens upon the story of her life. She interviews a master violinist. And the story explodes. It sounds like a play preformed in front of a live audience. The story unfolds quite unexpectedly. It is poignant. Packed with talent. I won’t give anything away because that would not give justice to the magnificent performance. It is something that must be discovered by the listener. I highly recommend this audio book. You will not be disappointed. If you love music and a good story. It’s worth buying this short story which has a reverberating impact.

What a delightful surprise

this story it's wonderfully narrated and the violin music it's just beautiful. what a wonderful way to teach children about a horrible event in world's history. Michael Morpugo hits a homerun with this touching story. I have not heard a story of his that I have not liked, and did not give me reason to pause and think. War Horse, The Farmer Boy, and the dancing bear a wonderful stories. any of these books are a great addition to your children's Library. this audible version was very moving
