The Nazis and the Supernatural is a gripping account of the magical thinking that dominated Nazi beliefs leading up to and including the Second World War.

This book explores the Nazi obsession with the occult and symbols of arcane power, shedding new light on the most hated political movement in history, and revealing how occultism not only helped the Nazis but also hindered them, as opposition movements utilized its techniques. Particularly intriguing sections include the Vril Society, the New Teutonic Knights, Black Camelot, the Nazi "Occult Bureau", Atlantis and Aryan science.

A very informative book on all the influences of mysticism on Nazi ideology and its consequences. There is a lot to unpack and covers many different aspects of life and the conflicts the political party had. The reader also is clear and amoes it sound interesting, a perfect fit to topics relatively unknown to most of the public. Anyone interested in WW2 and the occult side of it should read it.

Warning: spoilers

This book illustrated well that the Nazis were superstitious and anti-scientific. I was surprised to learn this.

I expected sensational stories about the Nazis conjuring and consulting demons. Instead I got a fairly based and well-researched look at the Nazis and their connection to real occultism.

I was very interested to learn that Hitler was influenced by Alistair Crowley who worked for MI-6.

The author investigates the topic carefully. He is not inclined to exaggeration. I am fascinated by occult ideas and this book held my attention all the way through. I felt like I gained valuable knowledge from reading this book.

if you like history, World War II, and occultism I highly recommend you check out this book.

I learned the Nazis were not as powerful or intelligent as I thought they were.
