They were all comfortable, cozy -until a neighbor is attacked at the university’s research center, another is found dead and Evelyn finds her home is bugged, and I don’t mean the kind you step on. Channeling her inner Nancy Drew, Evelyn uncovers a common thread to all of these unsettling events. Responding to the post 911 mantra, “If you see something, say something,” Evelyn reports her evidence to the FBI. What Evelyn does not expect is her due diligence would lead the FBI to recruit her to help uncover a sleeper cell of Russian agents whose ultimate goal is bio-terrorism. Unfortunately, the suspects are her neighbors and friends. Teamed with an undercover agent, she is tasked with exploiting her relationships into gathering information, all the while keeping her double life from her husband. As this unlikely duo uncovers more information, the evidence against some of Evelyn’s closest friend’s mounts.
