Many twists, and turns throughout to hold your attention and cause suspense. The narrator did a good job.

This is a missing-kid ‘thriller’ / mystery read (using ‘thriller’ loosely here since the writing’s rather weak and it isn’t thrilling.

The author didn’t bother to develop the characters very much and what little personality she does give to them can change without reason so there’s also little to no continuity on this front. And the ‘telling’ writing style is clearly favored over showing so it’s rather dull and slow-paced.

Overall:
Not for me, though it could’ve been really good if a stronger writer were involved, or a stronger editor, or even an astute beta reader. This author could be a good storyteller at least, if they cared about things like continuity, consistency, character development, and then in turn could put out good books if they had any writing skills.

As it is though: 2 stars per GR’s rating system but 1 per Audible’s (= “Not for me”.)

🎧 Audio—
This narrator 's voice was good, though not one that performs instead of just reading robotically. Slightly more pleasant to listen to than AI so, could be worse.
The production was smooth throughout, except a few hiccups where the same line played twice.

Conceptually fun, but not well-executed. Not for m

There was a few moments where I found it repetitive or where it broke the illusion of reality but overall I enjoyed listening to this story and would recommend it.

Pretty good
