Finding a conductor to lead a handbell choir can be difficult, if not impossible. Often, a church music director, choir director, or just a willing volunteer gets talked into taking the position, for which we are always very grateful.

There are no books that take the time to train a volunteer to become a handbell director, so I decided to create an introductory course to guide a new handbell conductor or to help an existing conductor who is new to handbells become the best conductor they can be.

This course assumes you have yet to gain experience conducting handbell ringing or music reading.
