Is very good but...

I feel like it would have been nice to develop a little more the plot and the characters. The story felt a little short, everything came and went too easy. But it may be a side effect of listening this right after one of Brandon's audiobooks. Waiting for the next book to satiate the hunger that was left.

Incredibly rich world building and story writing

While you can feel the subtle influence of a lot of popular media, this story has a unique and engaging flavor all it's own. I'm thoroughly impressed. I haven't had a book make me cry in years, but one of the moments between two of the main characters hit me in a way I never would have anticipated. 10/10!! He's created a fascinating world I can't wait to continue exploring.
