An uninvited guest arrives at Nathaniel Oxleigh’s thirtieth birthday, offering the kind of deal most men would give their souls for. Before the young hotel mogul and his two best friends can collect the money, Oxleigh must endure nineteen torturous trials of body and mind.

Witness organic, modern-day terror in the fifth and final installment of the Book of Deathly Anagrams; a cautionary tale for those chasing dreams of wealth and enterprise.

Crazy. Unexpected. Wild journey. Really enjoyed this creepy tale. Each chapter was a fresh horror and I was hanging on the edge of my seat

Perhaps it was chance I stumbled upon this but this has been a fun listen and original story.

Everyone needs a good horror story and this one was a fun read though the narrator struggled with American accents.

Never did i find myself lost in what was happening and the author did a great job with building the suspense and world.

I usually dont read this genre but it was engaging.

Suffice to say, if your looking for a good and original horror that makes you want to learn more you came to the right place.

I never have any idea what to expect from this author. This is nothing like "Doril Song," which I absolutely loved. Yet I was far from disappointed.
Burkhart's leap into the "sell your soul" motif is one of originality. The horror portions are gut wrenching. Two of my favorite parts actually made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. I'd love to elaborate, but I'd hate to spoil anything. Trust me when I say that there are new horrors around every corner.
I'm from South Jersey, so I can verify that the characters, setting , and dialogue are on point.
The story is great, the narrator is strange (in the best way possible), and finally, even though the author has a strange Holly Holm obsession, he delivered another unforgettable book.

Sick to my stomach, in a good way?!!!

Story is great, and is broken into sections related to the "doors" from the title. Each area goes into its own little trip of depravity. My personal favorite remains the first encounter, but aside from the hint in the tittle I'll say no more.

I want to be a juror!

Ok. What happens when you sell your soul? Do you play along? Do you repent? You never know how much you can handle or how far you'll go.

Burkhardt takes you on a rollercoaster of terror fueled, flesh filled, nightmares to top all nightmares. Our MC has choices to make. Filled with torturous actions, you continue to wonder if he makes it out.

Great read. And Listen. The Narrator does wonders bringing you in and keeps your mind turning.
