Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

The crew decided to split up. They send the Shadow to keep trying to stop the warring parties in M33, while the Stardust III heads back for upgrades and some rest.

The situation in M33 turns out to be much more complicated than they initially thought.

Last-minute crew adjustments caused more stress than expected, and tempers are flaring.

They rescue more stranded aliens, some of whom don't want to be rescued.

Then, they rescue an alien that can only tolerate small amounts of regular air and would die if exposed to normal food or water.

the story line is Ok but a bit repetative. The Ai voice-over is quite archaic. With the availability of new Ai. powered readers, there is no excuse for using one so primitive. I run one on my home lab computer that is light-years ahead of the one reading this series. The intonation and lack of dramatic pauses and infections plus the frequent mispronunciations kind of takes away from the story. Just sayin.

Needs a new Ai voice-over.

I like the characters the premise and the flow of the stories. I wish there was a set.

These are still good. I will continue to read them when ten comes out. Thank you. :-)

The story line over the whole series is good, but it’s surprising how little the narration has improved since the first one.

It seems like you could do some editing to correct mispronunciations, (like the word “live” having different pronunciation based on context), or the number of pauses that seemed like someone put a period in the middle of a sentence. (It’s not like the system had to take a breath, and if that is what it was trying to recreate, it did a poor job.)

Good story bad performance
