The Nonbreathers & the First Fusers

One day, and probably soon, living beings will be discovered on a world in "close proximity" to our planet. Will they be like us, will they breathe air and drink water? Maybe not. And maybe our search for life is quite limited and too narrowly focused. According to The Urantia Book, a revelatory tome of epochal significance, there are "Nonbreathers" living in our cosmic neighborhood, beings who neither eat nor drink, but are energized by a method we know not.
Another day, also not far off, human beings will stop dying and begin "translating" to the first heaven, just as Enoch and Elijah did long ago. What will it look like when we fuse with the divinity living within us, when death is not the only option?
What changes will those two inevitable events bring? Explore that question in this story, actually two interwoven tales that project the cultural, social, and spiritual transformations that our world will soon experience. A new paradigm of living will emerge before long, and almost nothing will be as it was before.
