I first read The Open Boat in college and only remembered that I was astonished when I first read it. I'm so glad that Audible offered it, because it was as astonishing the second time, 50 years later. There is real wisdom in this story, and beauty as well.

What does Richard Rohan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the pace of the story quickens and subsides along the plot lines. I suppose in my mind the reading would not do that
