Michael Havelock’s world died on a moonlit beach on the Costa Brava as he watched his partner and lover, double agent Jenna Karas, efficiently gunned down by his own agency. There’s nothing left for him but to quit the game, get out. Then, in one frantic moment on a crowded railroad platform in Rome, Havelock sees Jenna. Racing around the globe in search of his beautiful betrayer, Havelock is now marked for death by both U.S. and Russian assassins, trapped in a massive mosaic of treachery created by a top-level mole with the world in his fist: Parsifal.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Robert Ludlem's books always have a good complicteed story line and plot. This one even though is an old book is still extremly enjoyable.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Scott Brick is one of my favorite performers and he does a great job with this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's over 20 hours long so that for me would be impossible.

Still a good story

A masterful work. Stretching the imagination, to be sure, like all of Ludlum's novels, but not to the point of breaking. It's also the most Cold-War-focused of his books, and its broad scope, the entire world being at stake, makes it all the better.

Scott Brick does an admirable job, as always. Though he should have researched the pronunciation of Czech words beforehand.

Probably the best of all Ludlum novels

Mr. Brick does his normal great job covering various genders and ethnicities. This is a complex story and he had his hands (mouth?) full with the character list. I love Ludlum as a rule but this when went on a bit longer than expected. That is my only complaint. Tied up nicely, made sense, delivered some surprises. Overall win.

Fun but long, well performed
