Santa Claus called MaryEllen into his office for a nice chat. "I've thought carefully about your request and have kept a watchful eye on you all year. In my opinion, you are ready; however, before I grant you your wish, I wanted to ask if you are ready and still want to do this?"

MaryEllen cleared her voice and positively replied, "Yes, Santa. As you know, I am 24 years old now, and I would like to get married. I see how happy you and Mrs. Claus are...and I want that for me too. I thoroughly enjoyed my last year's assignment when I had the opportunity to work at Macy's and was able to assist in bringing Miss Noel and Gilbert together."

"Yes, that was a miracle for sure! I will be sending you back to Macy's where you will see Noel; however, she will not remember or recognize you. In order for your wish to come true, you must find love like every human being does while on their stay on earth. I will however, let you take some Christmas magic dust with you to assist you in times that you will need it. Other than that, you will be on your own. Do you have any questions?"

"No, I think I'm ready. Before I go, may I give you a hug, dear Santa?"

When Santa wrapped his arms around her, she did her best not to cry. "I love you, MaryEllen, and I wish you much happiness."
