Thomas Bolden grew up on the streets, his childhood a blur of fragmented memories. But now he’s managed to put his past behind him, find the woman he wants to share his life with, and carve out a successful career on Wall Street. Until, in the blink of an eye, his world is turned upside down. A bizarre kidnapping sends him fleeing for his life, his face everywhere on the TV news, and a violent, shadowy organization is framing him for crimes he did not commit.

Desperately trying to get back to where he was just a day before, Bolden must re-learn the survival skills of his hardscrabble boyhood. But as Bolden–with just eleven dollars in his pocket and hunters all around him–survives one violent, harrowing hour after another, he makes a series of startling discoveries: about a mysterious woman wanted for murder…about an astounding secret rooted in history, among the country’s Founding Fathers and families…about a conspiracy lurking in the darkest corners of corporate America–and a deadly plan that only he can stop. And in the process, maybe Bolden will also find out who he really is....

Furiously paced, filled with brilliantly drawn characters from politicians to patriots, from Wall Street players to
battle-hardened cops, The Patriots Club is vintage Reich: brilliant, breathtaking, and impossible to put down until the final unforgettable page is turned.©2005 Christopher Reich; (P)2005 Books on Tape, Inc.

"This is a roller-coaster ride.... Reich keeps the tension level appropriately high throughout, and Bolden is an engaging "ordinary guy" protagonist."—San Francisco Chronicle"Action-packed."—Publishers Weekly"I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue and suspense that Reich creates as well as the multi-dimensional characters.... An engaging read."—www.freshfiction.com

I strugglef with this one. I have a lot of free time but this still took 2 weeks to finish. When I made it thru Chaptet 5 I was sure I missed something so I started over. I did not, in fact, miss anything. If I did not pay for this book I would not have finished it. You figure out the climax early and know what the last major scene just not the result.
I will not be re-reading this title very soon. I only would re-read if I have 10 hrs. to kill.
TO THE AUTHOR: Bring back the thrill of NUMBERED ACCOUNT please. This is my 5th book by Christopher Reich.

Excellent story. Dan Brown-esq. Page turner. Skillful narration. Reich's "rules of ..." Trilogy reads like a story written by Dan brown and tom Clancy. Outstanding!

A bit too much torture details

I wasn’t a huge fan of the lead character- he just wasn’t as smart or intuitive as you’d hoped he’d be. The plot was a little too far fetched for me in the end. I am a Reich fan and have thoroughly enjoyed my previous listens. I guess you can’t hit home runs all the time.

Not a home run

the audible description is somewhat misleading premise is straight forward, evil secret group that runs the government targets the wrong guy and no one believes him, he's on his own fighting for his life, etc.

although i found this book to be entertaining, as i do most books. however, i also found it to be overly predictable; which seems par for the course regarding most books written. all and all i would recommend it
