The project plans called for storing one hundred fighters in the subterranean base. Those fighters would provide air cover for America in the event of a nuclear conflict. The fighters had not been delivered prior to the night of the quakes.Inside that base, which the peacekeepers had code named the citadel, they discovered an aircraft unlike any other they had ever seen.
