Single mom Jeanie Long was trying to save her butt at work by reporting her manager to the company owner. Instead she finds herself greeted warmly by gorgeous company CEO Camden James...and introduced to his father as his fiancée. Now she's been hired - complete with a hefty pay raise - to be the fake fiancée of the infamous "Penthouse Prince".

Camden doesn't believe in love. He believes in mutually beneficial business arrangements. With his real fiancée off cheating on him, Camden needs someone to help him prove to his father that he's definitely ready to marry. Yet Jeanie's combination of beauty and bluntness act like an aphrodisiac, and their "for the press" kisses look incredibly real. So real that Jeanie and Camden are either really convincing actors...or they've fallen for their own charade.

The story was very repetitive and slow to get to the good parts. The thoughts of the characters were boring as they repeated the same things over and over.

Slow burn very angsty

Pretty great ! I was looking for something I could listen to while organizing my home and doing chores around the house. I’m a big fan of romantic comedies and romance that is not too dramatic so I really enjoyed this story. I felt it was a little redundant towards the end but I still liked it. Great beginning and the author has a great way of writing both the male and female’s perspectives.
The narration was excellent when it came to the main character, not my favorite when she was speaking as a man or as the child but still good. I would listen to it again.

Great work.

Nice, light romance that I enjoyed

I liked the story and thought it was well written. It is not suspenseful, but not overly predictable either.

I almost stopped listening as the narrator has an issue with many of her “r”s. It was somewhat annoying that many words were pronounced with a “w” sound instead. As the story went on, it seemed better, but will still likely hesitate listening to other books by this narrator.

Sweet story

The story idea is not new. The development of the story was too overstretched . The character development was not consistent especially for the heroine. Didn’t feel like there was a peak to the story. Story is sweet but it was flat. The narrator did not help tone too monotone.

Sweet Story, but not spectacular!

Die Story insgesamt ist ganz o.k, aber in einigen Passagen zu langatmig. Zudem könnte die Sprecherin etwas mehr überzeugen.

Nicht schlecht, aber teilweise zu lang.
