The Atlantic: A young woman sailing solo across the Atlantic makes an incredible discovery - a man narrowly clinging to life in the open ocean. But the desperate survivor is more than he appears. He is a Kidon - an Israeli assassin - who forcibly commandeers her boat with a new destination in mind: England. There the two are forced into an uneasy partnership as they run from a secretive and lethal organization. The resulting wake of destruction brings Scotland Yard to the hunt - searching for an accomplished killer and a woman whose life has been capsized.

One Shot: The Kidon soon uncovers the true enemy - a manipulator responsible for the tragic event that shaped him to be what he is. There is only one solution. With deliberate, inescapable precision, he will hunt down the one who created... The Perfect Assassin.

This is a fantastic series! And despite the other reviews bashing the female narrator in this first book only, she did a fantastic job as well. Her ability to take on any accent made me stop thinking of her as a female narrator and just listen to the story with its many twists and turns. And even though I do prefer the male narrators in the rest of the series, don’t let that stop you from diving in.

I’ve read them all. Orphan X got me started then I moved on to The Gray Man and kept going from there. Dewey Andreas, Mitch Rapp, Scot Horvath, Victor, Pike Logan, James Reece, and on and on. Let me tell you that David Slaton is up there with the best.

Ward Larsen spins quite the tale and there are so many twists and turns that I’m always surprised at the end. Don’t hesitate because of any bad reviews. This series is worth every penny and I know because I’m on book 5 at the moment.

A TRUE review!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

some people shouldn't do accents.
sorry Amy you maybe a lovely lady but I don't think I can listen to another book with you reading it to me.
drop the accents and it would be better

terrible narration

I enjoyed everything about my introduction to the Slaton series except the narrator. she was poor on accents and terrible on men's voices which outnumbered the women's parts.

Great but....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Possibly the book but not the audio version.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amy McFadden?

She is probably the worse choice for an action novel possible. She reads it as if a "Valley Girl" were reading a book for school children. The emphasis is often at the wrong places making what should be a serious reaction comedic. I cringed at the reading throughout and finally gave up.

Audio version has terrible reader

Really enjoyed the plot…he is certainly as believable as all my other favorites ( nowhere man, reacher, gray man)..in my mind I felt the narrator who did a wonderful job on many of the characters fell short on some inflections and of some of the male voices…in all fairness I need to admit my wife loved her …we have downloaded another book by same author and narrator so apparently both author and narrator did a good job.

Great story
