A young female university student seen nearby may hold the only key to unlocking the case. And like a bloodhound, Girvin follows the new leads.

But being ex-army, her cold demeanour is a magnet for risk takers. It means she gets results, but also puts herself in danger. And she could be charging into her biggest challenge yet.

Don't like women being saved by men especially if DCI. Don't like the kind of Irish accent with no th sound.

Overly descriptive , a bit of a slog

The book was “narrated” in the third person and was overly descriptive. Found it a bit of a slog and got bored. It was free , no doubt to intro the series ( now 8 books) but compared to other Belfast noir, thriller writers it did not grab my interest.
