The wife made it sound like it wasn't really Peter's fault. Her attitude about him was pathetic. She enabled him the whole way. Sad story. Very sad.

I enjoyed listening to this book more than I thought I would. Very interesting. It not only told the story of Peter Lawford but excellent insight into Hollywood and its system.

Very good

The history of Peter Lawford’s life was very in depth and interesting.
However, many parts of his life should have remained personal and private. I don’t understand what the reasoning was to tarnish his image with so many accounts of drugs, alcohol, and sex. Some accounts were so personal that it was actually embarrassing to read and left you wondering why there was a need to tell these very private details of his life after he is gone.
There has been way too much included in this book that should have went with him to his final resting place.

An amazing actor with a now tarnished memory

I am embarrassed to admit that I slogged my way through this degradation. What depraved and disgusting lives these “glamorous“ people lead. The author presents herself as Florence Nightingale and a martyr. She was as unhealthy as the people about whom she writes. I will never be able to watch another movie in which Peter Lawford stars without being aware of what a miserable life he lead. Blech!!!

Sad and degrading

The factual information and the historical information is interesting. The oh poor me of it is distasteful.

Disappointing presentation
