Great twists, turns, and an even better ending

The Pilot is the first in the series where severe sacrifices needed to made by and extremely negative consequences occur to the Last Horizon crew. Will does a great job of maintaining his high octane pacing with plenty of fun along the way. However, he truly sticks the landing in this one and perfectly sets up the next novel in the series.

Cliffhanger?

Will Wight doesn’t usually leave the story like this. Its refreshing. I can’t wait to see what happens. Very impactful entry into an otherwise light hearted series.

Finally! ...new outfits

I was not expecting the entire crew to dress in g-strings and bikinis for the SAVE-OUR-ACADEMY Spaceship Wash. But they pulled it off - Those crazy kids saved Spring Break! (And learned some important lessons along the way about respecting our elders and obeying traffic laws)

cliffhanger

pretty good all and all even if a bit sappy at the end there. but no matter who you are or hoe good the writing authors who end on cliffhangers deserve to loose a star every time.

It's a great edition to the series! boy sure how I was going to feel about openly magical space wizards, but it's a good ride if a story so far. Can't wait for the next one!
