The Pizza Man by Eddy Twice is a charming, feel good wholesome romance. It reminds you how love can sneak into your life when you least expect it, and sometimes with a pizza box in hand. Bella’s systematic, workaholic world collides with Joe’s easygoing, spontaneous energy in this sweet and funny story. It’s an encouraging reminder that taking risks, whether in love or life, can lead to something unexpected. With relatable characters and emotional undertones about trust and family, this audiobook is a delightful escape for anyone wanting a touch of romance and genuine human emotions. The duo narrators fit well together for this story. Their voices delivered captivating performances that enhanced every scene. The narration by both of the narrators added that extra spark and you can feel the emotions of the characters. Before I had even realized it, I was done and still wanted more chapters. If you like the oddball, quirky romance that will have you flying through the pages or deeply immersed in the audio, this one will deliver.

The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing this story to life. I really like a solid HEA that feels realistic. The plot held my attention and I liked the FMC and MMC. I felt sad about the personal moment the FMC had and that she didn’t feel comfortable sharing after the spicy scene though the MMC didn’t do anything wrong in my opinion. It was just kind of sad.

I appreciated how heavy it got with the patient suffering - of course didn’t love that but it made it feel real how love organically came about throughout the story. I like realistic stories like this.

At first, this one was a little slow for me—I even had to relisten to the beginning because it didn’t grab me right away. But as the story moved along, it did get better. Bella, the main character, wasn’t my favorite at the start, but I liked her more toward the end once she had some growth. That really helped me enjoy the story more.

The pacing felt a little uneven here and there, but overall it was still an easy listen. The narrators did a good job too—the voices came through clearly and kept the story flowing. Not a bad listen at all, just a quieter one, and it ended on a more positive note than it started.
