Rachel Van Dyken
Margot McCleery could have lived her whole life without seeing Bentley Wellington again-her ex-best friend and the poster boy for Hot, Rich Man-Whores everywhere. But Margot's whiskey-augmented grandmother "buys" Bentley at a charity bachelor auction, and now suddenly he's at her door. Impossibly charming. Impossibly sexy. And still a complete and utter jackass.
Bentley's just been coerced by his grandfather to spend the next thirty days charming and romancing the reclusive red-haired beauty who hates him. The woman he abandoned when she needed him the most. Bentley knows just as much about romance as he knows about love-nothing. But the more time he spends with Margot, the more he realizes that "just friends" will never be enough. Now all he has to do is convince her to trust him with her heart . . .

Critic reviews
"Laugh-out-loud fun! Rachel Van Dyken is on my auto-buy list."—Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author of the Lucky Harbor series
"If you want a story with make you laugh til you cry parts, heart melting sweet parts and melt your panty parts, this is the book for you! The family is in rare form, and the wedding week festivities are a hoot. What I really love, though is how Rachel's books are sexy, funny and romantic, but they also have serious issues for the main characters to work through. You might be rolling on the floor laughing one minute and tearing up the next. That's when books are the best! All I can say is, "Bring on book three, Rachel!"—The Book Hookers
"If you need a funny, light read ..., I promise you this is a superb choice!"—MustReadBooksOrDie.com

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The first half of the book held my interest. I was interested as to how the main characters would develop over time. But they pretty much stayed the same which made the latter half of the book frustrating. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would change Bentley's way of talking to his former best friend. I know it was a way to push the "Playboy Bachelor" persona but it went overboard.Bentley's way of flirting was off-putting. The female character, Margot, hardly batted an eye at his many crude jokes even though this was a man that she's loved forever.
His aggressive flirting should have gotten a bigger reaction from her but I suppose that was the authors way of trying to be humorous.
Was The Playboy Bachelor worth the listening time?
Not really. It was a lot of the same, repeated worries that ran through the characters heads. And the audience was forced to hear the same repetitious thoughts about doubts & fears throughout the story.Any additional comments?
Great premise but the characters were unlikableDidn't Connect with Characters
