Nikki Starling reminds us when and where anxiety usually strikes and links the mind to the body in so many ways including sleep, eating, and hormonal patterns. There are also worldly triggers covered, such as a partner who is unresponsive with their texts or distant, leading one down a rabbit hole of worry. These are things we are out to change though, and Starling guides us compassionately and mindfully. Ashley Chavez is also a fantastic narrator and her voice is the perfect blend of calmness, compassion, and informativeness.

I picked this up because I was so tired of constantly overthinking texts and feeling like I was too much in my relationship. Honestly, the exercises are really practical and don't require hours of work—just like 10 minutes here and there. What helped me most was the inner child scripts when I'd start spiraling about being abandoned or not good enough. It sounds cheesy, but they actually work when anxiety hits. The tracking tools also made me realize how often I was creating problems in my head that weren't even real. I'm not magically "cured" or anything, but I feel way less controlled by my emotions now and can actually communicate better with my partner. If you struggle with insecurity or that constant fear of being left, this workbook is definitely worth trying.
