Narrator

Tha narrator changed in this book. It is taking a lot of time to get used to but I love this series

Love all of Sarah Woodbury's works, including this one.

Not a huge fan of this narrator. His cadence seems abnormally slow and drawn out at times

Enjoyable Mystery!

Another entertaining adventure in medieval Wales! Gareth and Gwen and their extended family are loveable, believable characters I follow avidly. This story of an investigation into the death of a dog was interesting, funny, perilous, and tugged at the heartstrings. A few sections felt repetitive and could have been summarized or shortened. Something was off about the audio, and the only way I can describe it is that it sounds like the narration was deliberately slowed down after recording. It was also more challenging for me to keep up with the characters while listening versus reading also. However, I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the next one!

Liked the story, hated the narrator

Through all the previous Gareth & Gwen novels I wanted a different narrator. Well I got my wish but not in a good way. This narration is so slow paced I thought I'd scream. His use of proper welsh pronunciation would be appealing if he didn't pause before every welsh word. I liked the story but can't listen to this guy again.

Narrator Stalls the Flow

Story is great- narrator needs more practice. He’s not reading slow but it feels like it and the pace of the story feels like its stumbling and tripping along with his reading. Also he changed the pronunciation of some of the characters so much it threw me off thinking they were new characters.
