Captivating retelling of the nativity story. Great Christmas gift for kids.

What if you were visited by an angel one night who told you that you were to give birth to the Son of God? How would you feel? What might you think?

Written as a series of vivid and dramatic first-person accounts, The Promise and the Light tells the stories of Mary, Joseph, and Zechariah as they experience the events of the first Christmas.

Written in a lively and engaging style, this imaginative, yet biblically faithful book will captivate children aged 8-12. Listeners will be able to get inside the hearts and minds of some of the key players in the Christmas story and will appreciate the power and excitement of what happened, and why it is so amazing for us today.

With 25 chapters, listeners may choose to listen to a chapter a day during Advent.

I thoroughly enjoyed the detailed considerations woven into this beautifully written and narrated retelling of the birth of Jesus, as well as the preceding story of Mary and Joseph’s journey to becoming the parents of our Savior and Lord, King Jesus! Listening to this audiobook has been a wonderful addition to my Christmas journey helping me to keep my eyes and heart set upon Him and His glory forevermore! Thank you for this delightful, new Christmas tradition!

Wonderful Retelling!

we loved listening to this. to imagine what it was like behind the minds of Mary, Joseph and Zechariah is a treat. and the imagining is very closely tied to the gospel, biblical accounts, he rew culture, and communicating and weaving together the story of God's redemption.

amazing, fun, biblically accurate, culturally rich
