The Book of Psalms, as written in the King James Bible. The Psalms are the inspired Word of God, which came to us through David, the great warrior king of Israel. David loved the Lord with a fiery and unquenchable passion, which created a faith that overcame all his enemies, adversity, andl sorrow. In these times, David's Paslms are spiritual passwords to strength, and unyielding hope, which all of us need.

David's confidence in God's victory is expressed with certainty in Psalm 59, verse 10: "In His unfailing love, my God will come and help me. He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies." In Psalm 144, verses 1 and 2, David blesses God for giving him whatever he needs for victory after victory: "Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight, my goodness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer: my shield, and Him in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me." And in the great Psalm 23, David gives us the words which have strengthened so many on God's battlefields: "Yea, and even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear, for thou art with me...." Victory, through the power of God, is the uncompromising message of the Psalms.
