Liam was quite pushy, but it ended up working in his favour. I appreciated that Sophie didn't just cave to him, but actually made him work for her attention.

I loved how Jessica helped them out. lol... Watching her play their dad and brother was brilliant!

Quite a few fun scenes that had me grinning, and giggling...

I also really enjoyed the narration by Shane Martinez and Pierre Manhattan. They did a great job of bringing the characters to life, and really made the story enjoyable...

Great Story!

This is the first book in the Defenders Diaries series, a Sports Romance. Sophie and Liam's forbidden romance is sweet, fun, emotional, passionate, and entertaining, filled with miscommunication, danger, and twists and turns. Liam is handsome, and supportive. I liked is determination. Sophie is smart, and prudent. They are opposites attract and they complement each other. The supporting chracters are great. I liked Sophie's sister Jessica, and her protective brother, Adam. Shane Martinez and Pierre Manhattan did a good job bringing this story to life. The Pucking Player!

This is the first story in the new "Defenders Diaries" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. The story is about Liam and Sophie. He is a hockey player with a bit of a reputation of being a player and no commitments. When he sees her, he is awestruck and determined. She is the youngest daughter of his coach and the sister of his teammate, needless to say FORBIDDEN. Sophie is doing everything she can to make her dream of being a doctor but has had a crush on him. I enjoyed every bit of their story. I love the characters and how their story develops. The story is well narrated; really bringing the characters and their story to life.

A great read, but even better narration. Absolutely loved this audiobook. The narrators were excellent and kept me riveted throughout the entire book. Still prefer the written word, but this book may make me a convert.
