Contains the first three books in the Purge of Babylon series, including The Purge of Babylon: A Novel Survival, The Gates of Byzantium, and The Stones of Angkor.

Stay out of the dark. Load up on silver bullets. And whatever you do, stay alive.

Creatures that once lived in the shadows, hidden from humankind, have risen, spreading like a plague across the globe over the course of a single night. Their numbers growing exponentially through infection, these seemingly unkillable creatures have swallowed up whole cities and collapsed unprepared governments. Survivors call it The Purge. Against all odds, a disparate group of survivors has emerged from that blood-soaked night that devastated the planet and reduced humanity to an endangered species. But surviving The Purge was one thing - staying alive is another matter entirely....

I'm upset because after 6 books... They have not once mentioned WHAT the ghouls are...

I have no idea where this is going

The story was very entertaining but it had parts that seemed to jump and I felt like I missed crucial points in the story? if not for that I would have given it 5 stars.

The story might have skipped in a few places?

First off, I could never write a book and feel its difficult to criticize an author. However, if the author actually reads my comment it may help him to work on his story. My background is military, law enforcement and the emergency medical field. The fastest way for me to dislike a story is if it is factually impossible to have happened. With that said I believe the injuries sustained by characters would require weeks, months and sometimes years to heal, not hours or days. A stitched gunshot wound is not suddenly able to heal for someone to suddenly walk days without problems. The same goes with the mentioning of the M4A1 rifle. after repeating the model several hundred times, I get it. He is carrying a M4A1 rifle. Simply stating "he grabbed his rifle and followed Danny", would have been better. Also, it makes no sense to spend 6 times as much silver loading a shotgun shell vs a 223 round. The spread factor close range for a 12 ga shotgun is very little until you shoot about 15 yards. It would have made more sense to have the extra 223 rounds for accuracy and because the M4 holds 30 round magazines and most Remington 870 setups only hold between 5 to 7 rounds. I really wanted to love this story as much as the Mountain Man series but I just could not. I will probably not continue this story.

Entertaining but missed realistic scenarios.
