C. S. Forester’s thriller The Pursued (1935) rewrote the traditions of crime fiction to create a dark, twisted psychological portrayal of obsession and retribution, but its typescript manuscript was lost and never published. Now, more than seven decades later, it has been rediscovered and published for the first time.

Immensely enjoyable listen

A real treat, having previously listened to Forester’s other crime novels both as audiobooks and dramatisations. Diana Bishop is an excellent storyteller - and what a story! I found myself using every spare bit of time to listen, and really didn’t want to bid the characters farewell when we reached the end!
