Chaant, Anjelica, and Devlin had used Eldrid's ring to vanquish the demon horde that attacked Almarra and saved the city. With the demons gone, the people of Almarra turned to the rebuilding of their homes as their lives slowly returned to normal. But all that changed when a group of refugees from nearby Elharra arrived at Almarra's gates to report the coming of an even larger force led by a more powerful Demon Lord.

Now the mages and warriors of Almarra must face the new threat—one that has an uncanny knowledge of their methods and mysterious ties to their pasts. Before leaving for Elharra, the Wizard Eldrid suggested another course of action for the young heroes—one that could end the threat of demons forever. But to succeed, they might have to sacrifice the lives of the beleaguered city’s people.

The Quest Continues! Gripping Tale!

Moving flawlessly from The Quest for the Wizard’s Ring, Chaant, Angelica, and Devlin quickly move to destroy the threat of any future demon presence and threat. Following Wizard Eldrid’s suggestion, our heroes embark on a mission that may result in the death of hundreds but will save millions. Our heroes encounter someone from their past.

The author, Robert A. Valle is a masterful storyteller who skillfully captures the imagination of his listeners and immerses them into an action-filled adventure. The plot twists were well executed and staged. The character development was skillful and detailed building a strong connection between the listener and the storyline. Valle is adept at presenting vivid imagery that keeps the listener engaged and actively listening. He’s also very skilled at subtly evoking an emotional connection as well – the reconnection of the son and mother – very powerful!

The narrator, Luke deMaine, provides a solid narration. His rich voice reflects the action and atmosphere of the storyline accurately creating an enriching experience for the listener. He speaks clearly and concisely allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves.

This is a captivating storyline that resonates and at times reinserts itself into my thoughts. I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys epic journeys such as The Lord of the Rings or Dragonsong.
